strange day

this morning i nearly walked through a pool of blood on my way to work. seriously. it was blood and it was a 1ft by .5ft pool right on the sidewalk outside my building. i didn't really think much of it first. ("that sorta looks like...nah.") then i went to the office and found out it really was blood from some crazy the police incident/fight thing the night before. the fire department came by around 9:30 and powerwashed the stain off the street. the day could only get better from there.

there were thunderstorms this afternoon but they didn't last nearly long enough. i came back from work and spent most of the evening packing and doing laundry and stuff because i leave for new york after class tomorrow! i really hope this crazy chinatown bus stuff works out. everything seems pretty simple but i'm more likely than anyone to fuck it all up. but at least i finally fixed my damn camera so i'll be able to take at least 177 pictures this weekend!

oh and there was such excitement in dc today! Borf, the mysterious DC graffitist, was caught yesterday!
